I have more than 10 years of experience as a telescope technician, imager, and astrophysicist. I am currently the manager of Sommers-Bausch Observatory at The University of Colorado Boulder. At SBO I maintain, upgrade, and observe with two 20” Planewave telescopes on Software Bisque Taurus 500 mounts as well as a 24” Boller and Chivens. I have replaced the control system of the 24” with a Software Bisque Bisque TCS system as well as designing and manufacturing a new custom secondary focusing system. I have a degree in Astrophysics from The University of Colorado Boulder. I worked as an engineer with Software Bisque as well as a staff technician and now Observatory Manager at Sommers-Bausch Observatory prior to being the manager. I have volunteered as an observer in occultation campaigns in support of NASA missions. I have already completed numerous telescope system installations throughout the world, and have experience working with private buyers, educational institutions, and government / defense contractors.
